Commercial Lines Account Manager - Reno, NV

Job description

A and H Insurance, Inc. is one of Nevada's signature independent insurance agencies with over 60 years' experience servicing Personal, Commercial and Benefits clients. We are looking for an experienced full-time Commercial Insurance Account Manager to join our team and service new and existing clients.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

- Build and maintain strong, long lasting relationships with clients, both new and existing.
- Quote new businesses for small, medium and large accounts.
- Renewal of accounts, including quoting, creating renewal proposals, binding coverage, and checking renewal policies for accuracy.
- Respond promptly to customer requests for service, including resolving billing, coverage and underwriting issues.
- Monitor monthly expiration lists and activities for all assigned accounts.
- Maintain updated client and policy information with the Agency Management System.

Education/Experience Requirements:

- Minimum 5 years' experience in the insurance industry.
- Current NV Commercial Lines License.
- Must continue to meet continuing education requirements for license renewal.
- Familiarity with computer, Microsoft Office, Applied Systems.

Position & Benefits:

Full-time In Office position, Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm. We offer a competitive benefit package including health, dental, vision and 401k.

We’re hiring a high-performing Commercial Producer to drive new business growth across Arizona. You’ll build a quality pipeline, close with confidence, and deepen relationships that lead to long-term retention and referrals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Meet or exceed new business production goals and objectives
  • Prospect consistently via phone, email, networking, centers of influence, and digital channels
  • Deliver consultative sales presentations and close with clear next steps
  • Build ongoing networking relationships with community and industry partners
  • Cross-sell and refer business to our Personal Lines & Benefits team
  • Cultivate strong, trust-based relationships with decision makers

Requirements

  • Active Property & Casualty license in Arizona and 3 years of commercial lines sales experience
  • Genuine willingness to learn; intuitive, resourceful, and coachable
  • Confident self-starter who thrives working independently
  • Upbeat, positive, and enthusiastic presence
  • Proven proactive problem-solving and strong prioritization skills
  • Passion for customer service with great listening and closing skills
  • Rigorous follow-up and follow-through habits
  • Composed, tactful approach in high-stress or complex situations
  • Strong organization, time management, and professional communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Ability to prepare daily client information, manage data, and produce documents to departmental service standards
  • Client-oriented mindset focused on positive outcomes
