As Senior Commercial Broker with A and H Insurance, Diane’s insurance career spans more than 35 years. Her main area of expertise is in the gaming and hospitality industry, along with large, complex risks, such as municipalities and commercial real estate accounts.
Diane began her career with The Hartford Insurance Group in Reno, NV, transferring to the Long island, NY office in 1970. She assumed the role of Casualty Claims Adjuster before transferring to the San Jose, CA office. It was here that she joined Syntex Pharmaceuticals, in Palo Alto, CA, as the Corporate Risk Analyst for the domestic property casualty risk management program. She was responsible for the administration of the corporation’s 18 domestic subsidiaries.
Diane returned to Reno, NV in 1982 and joined Bayly, Martin and Fay, as Claims Manager in the 3rd Party Claims Administration Division, overseeing the claims adjudication of Group Benefits & Workers Compensation for large gaming properties. In 1984, she transferred to the brokerage side of the company, and began her career as an insurance broker. In 1984, she was promoted to Assistant Vice President of the firm.
Las Vegas called in the early 90’s, and Diane joined the Insurance firm of Johnson & Higgins. It is here that she continued to pursue large gaming accounts and developed her expertise in this specialty.
After 7 years, Diane returned home to reunite with her family and welcome the first of 2 grandsons. She joined the ISU Stetson Beemer agency, which then became Wells Fargo Insurance.
She resides in Reno, with her 4 wonderful dogs, and is an avid gardener and cook.
